Driving Dog Safe

It's important when traveling with your puppy or dog, to keep a few things in mind when it comes to their safety. They younger the dog is when you start using these safety measures the faster they will adjust to any changes. If you have an older dog, and you're starting this for the first time, be patient and go slow with them. You really can teach your old dog a new trick; it just takes a little longer.

Use a Safety harness for your dog.  There are a few types of car harnesses for your dog, however what I recommend is one that allows your puppy or dog to stand, sit, or lay down.

5 Quick Tips to Introducing Car Rides to Your Puppy

There will come a time when you need to drive your dog or puppy somewhere.  Maybe it will be the vet, or a friend's house; maybe the park, or the kennel.  At some point, you'll need to make sure your puppy, and eventually your dog, knows what the car ride is...lots of fun!!  Their experience in the car may start with that first car ride to your home.  It's important to properly socialize your puppy to the car to have life long fun experiences with them.  Plus, the happier they are in the car, the more often you'll be able to travel with them.
